STONY POINT PAL HOSTS COLOR-A-THON SUNDAY

Stony Point Police Athletic League is hosting a Color-A-Thon Fundraiser this Sunday May 22, 2016, 8 a.m. at Farley Elementary School, 140 Rt. 210, Stony Point. Touted as a fun, healthy event, this is a fundraiser where you can walk, run, skip or cartwheel through a 5k or 1 mile course and get blasted by color dust! All the community is invited to participate. The registration fee is $30 and includes a t-shirt and a color dye pack. To register go to http://shop.schoolathon.org/183829 or www.stonypointpal.org.

The color dust is safe, non-toxic and completely washable. It’s made of corn starch and color dyes approved by the FDA. “This is a safe and healthy fundraiser,” said the Stony Point PAL. “Plus it’s a fun way to get our youth outside, involve the community and have a blast while raising money.”

“We are very excited to host this Color-A-Thon event,” said Det. Andrew Kryger of the Stony Point PAL. “The money will be used to for PAL events for the community and to help build a Skate Park in Stony Point.”
