Paul Reiser featured at Peekskill Paramount

unnamedPaulReiserHS.JPGThe Paramount Hudson Velley Theater in Peekskill, NY will host a comic act by Paul Reiser on Friday, June 10.

Reiser has co-created and starred in the critically acclaimed NBC series “Mad About You,” which garnered him multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, American Comedy Award and Screen Actors Guild nominations.
Reiser returned to television last year in the FX series “Married,” followed by the Amazon Series “Red Oaks,”a coming-of-age comedy set in the “go-go” 80s about a college student enjoying a last hurrah before summer comes to an end–and the future begins.

Paul plays the club president of Red Oaks, Getty. Amazon has just announced the second season of the series to be released in 2016. It’s been a busy time in film for Reiser as well. Following his role in Academy Award winning film “Whiplash,” Reiser has a full slate of films coming up, as well as screenplays soon to be acted out by others.

Not one to abandon his roots in stand-up, in between projects Reiser tours the country performing to sold out venues and was recently voted one of Comedy Central’s “Top 100 Comedians of All Time.”

Born and raised in New York City, Reiser attended the State University of New York at Binghamton where he majored in Music. Reiser co-wrote the theme song from “Mad About You” with Grammy-winning producer Don Was, and in 2011 released an album of original songs with British singer / songwriter Julia Fordham called “Unusual Suspects.”
