Federal Grants Awarded to Rockland Municipalities, Community Organizations

COUNTY PRESS RELEASE

Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Commissioner of Human Rights Penny Jennings announced that more than $2.38 million in federal grants have been awarded to more than 30 municipalities, not-for-profit groups and community organizations.

“These grants will improve our roads, strengthen our neighborhoods and help our youngest and oldest residents,” Day said. “All areas of Rockland will benefit.”

The grants are awarded through the Community Development Block Grant program and the Emergency Solutions Grant programs. Both programs are administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
