Rockland County Executive Ed Day last week announced the appointment of Tina M. Cardoza-Izquierdo as the new director of the Office for the Aging, replacing June Molof, who retired after 41 years.
Ms. Cardoza-Izquierdo has more than 25 years of experience in health care administration, most recently at Nyack Hospital. She lives in New City with her husband and four children.
“We are confident that Tina has the skills, background and compassion needed to take the helm of this very important department that is charged with assisting our seniors as they age,” Day said. “She will direct services and programs that are crucial to helping our older residents age with dignity and in comfort.”
Ms. Cardoza-Izquierdo is also fluent in Spanish, which will help the county’s efforts to reach out to Rockland’s growing Latino community, Day said.
“I am thrilled to join this dynamic agency which serves more than 60,000 people in Rockland County over the age of 60. I look forward to working with this team of exceptionally caring professionals and growing the current roster of programs and services that assists our valued senior citizens” said Cardoza-Izquierdo.
