RIP TIMONEY

The members of the Ramapo Police Department lost a member of their extended family this week: Chief John Timoney.

Chief Timoney was a former Town of Ramapo resident who served in the NYPD as the first deputy commissioner and eventually moved on to become commissioner of the Philadelphia Police Department.  After that he served as the chief of Police for the Miami Police Department until 2010.
