Nyack woman faces assault and cocaine possession charges

Marissa L. Castle, 36, of Nyack, was arrested the morning of Thursday, August 18 on charges of second-degree burglary, a felony, third-degree assault, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, all misdemeanors.

Orangetown PD alleges that Castle entered a Pearl River residence and assaulted a male inside causing lacerations to his face and head. Castle then allegedly took the man’s vehicle without permission and attempted to flee. Police said when they tracked her down, Castle was in possession of a white rock substance believed to be crack cocaine.

Castle was arraigned and sent to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
