LABOR DAY TRANSIT SCHEDULES IN ROCKLAND COUNTY

COUNTY PRESS RELEASE

County Executive Ed Day and the Rockland County Department of Public Transportation have announced transit schedule changes for Labor Day. On Monday, September 5, Transport of Rockland (TOR) and TAPPAN ZEExpress (TZx) buses will operate Saturday schedules. TRIPS paratransit buses will operate ADA service only. TOR and TZx schedules and maps are at www.rocklandbus.com.

Friday – September 2 – Early Getaway Commuter Service:

• TOR, TZx and TRIPS buses will operate regular weekday schedules, plus TZx will meet an early getaway train departing Grand Central at 3:11 p.m. to arrive at Tarrytown at 3:47 p.m. TZx will also meet the train arriving at 6:43 p.m.

• Coach USA Rockland Coaches bus routes from Manhattan to Rockland will operate regular weekday service.

• Coach USA Express (Shortline) bus service from the Exit 14 Park & Ride lot will operate a modified schedule in the morning and in the afternoon. Early getaway afternoon buses from Manhattan will be added at 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. from 56th St. & 5th Ave. and at 2:30 p.m. from Wall Street.

• NJ Transit’s (NJT’s) Main/Bergen Line will operate a train departing from New York’s Penn Station at 5:43 p.m. and from Hoboken at 5:49 p.m. The train that normally departs Penn Station at 6:03 p.m. and Hoboken at 6:15 p.m. will be cancelled.

• The NJT Pascack Valley Line will operate a regular Friday schedule.

• Metro-North’s Port Jervis Line will operate a train departing Penn Station at 2:29 p.m. and Hoboken at 2:41 p.m.

• The Metro-North Hudson Line will operate a train departing Grand Central Terminal at 3:11 p.m. A train that normally departs Grand Central at 5:57 p.m. will be cancelled.

• The Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will operate an early afternoon trip from Ossining at 4:01 p.m., connecting with Metro-North Hudson Line trains departing Grand Central at 2:51 and 3:11 p.m. The 7:20 p.m. ferry from Ossining will be cancelled.

• Rockland County’s TZx and TOR buses will operate Saturday service on routes 59, 91, 92, 93, 94 and Loop 3. No service on 95 and 97. TOR Loop #1 and Loop #2 will operate normal weekday schedules.

• TRIPS paratransit buses will operate ADA service only.

• Coach USA’s Rockland Coaches will operate Sunday schedules on local bus routes 9, 9W, 11-A and 20. Commuter express routes will not operate.

• Coach USA’s Shortline buses and Monsey Trails buses will operate Holiday schedules.

• Clarkstown Mini Trans, Spring Valley Jitney and Coach USA Express (Exit 14 Park & Ride) buses will not operate.

• Saddle River AmeriBus route 11-C will operate Sunday schedules.

• The Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will not operate.

• Metro-North’s Hudson Line and Port Jervis Line trains will operate Sunday schedules.

• NJ Transit trains will operate Weekend schedules on the Main/Bergen Line and on the Pascack Valley Line.
