74-year-old Nanuet man found deceased in Harriman State Park earlier this month

Lawrence Aubut, 74, of Nanuet was found dead in Harriman State Park on Wednesday, September 7, Park Police confirmed last week.

The Orange County medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of death, but first responders said the man appeared to have died of natural causes. Park Police said Rockland County Medic 31 and Tuxedo Ambulance 953 were on the scene and Rockland pronounce him deceased.
