Man Arrested in Nyack for Crack Cocaine and Marijuana
On Monday Sept. 19, 2016 at approximately 5:53 p.m. the Orangetown Police Department arrested 50-year-old Daniel Falcone of Orangeburg, New York for criminal possession of a controlled substance. Orangetown Police saw Falcone on Franklin Street in Nyack, New York acting in a suspicious manner. Following an investigation Falcone was found to possess a quantity of alleged crack cocaine and marijuana. He was arrested and transported to the Orangetown Police Headquarters for processing. Falcone was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. He was released and is due back in Nyack Justice Court on Oct. 13, 2016 to answer the charges.
Male Arrested at Dominican College for Violence
On Thursday Sept. 15, 2016 at approximately 9:19 p.m. the Orangetown Police Department arrested 22-year-old Jhavier Daley of Mount Vernon, New York. Police responded to a possible domestic dispute at Dominican College in Orangeburg when they came upon Daley in the parking lot of the college. After a brief investigation it was discovered Daley was involved in an argument with a female at the college. Daley allegedly became physical at some point in the argument. Daley allegedly choked the female and stole money from her purse. He was arrested on the scene and transported back to the OPD Headquarters for processing. Daley was charged with third-degree robbery and criminal obstruction of breathing. Judge Finning arraigned him and Daley was taken to the Rockland County Jail.

Suffern
ย Recent Arrests:
The Suffern PD charged a 50-year-old Suffern man with criminal trespass after he went to his ex-girlfriendโs Chestnut Street residence and pushed his way into her apartment, unwanted, after an argument. He was released on bail following arraignment.
The Suffern PD charged a 47-year-old Goshen man with having an active warrant on him out of their department and then further charged him with bail jumping.
Drone Arrest
On Sept. 18, 2016 the Suffern Police Department arrested a 30-year-old Saddle Brooke, New Jersey man for operating a drone over the Suffern Street Fair. Officers on foot patrol and fair attendees noticed the drone flying overheard near Lafayette Avenue and Chestnut Street. The person flying the drone was located and charged with this offense under Rockland County law.

West Haverstraw Man Arrested Twice in Same Day for DWAI
On Sept. 15, 2016 at approximately 1:37 a.m. the Stony Point Police Department responded to a rollover motor vehicle accident with injuries on Filors Lane near Theills Road. Following an investigation 20-year-old Zachary Morrell of West Haverstraw, New York was arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs. A 19-year-old female passenger was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana. She was transported to Nyack Hospital for a laceration sustained in the accident where she was treated and released. Morrell was arrested, processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable on Oct. 6, 2016.
The same day at approximately 2:27 p.m. the Stony Point Police Department responded to a report of an erratic operator in the area of South Liberty Drive. Responding officers located the vehicle involved and following an investigation, Morrell was arrested again for driving under the influence of drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, โAlpazolamโ. He was arrested again, processed and then arraigned at the Stony Point Justice Court. Morrell was remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000.00 bail. He is due back in court for the second DWAI charge on Oct. 6, 2016 as well. The Rockland County Sheriffโs Department Drug Recognition Expert assisted the Stony Point Police Department.
Ramapo
Man Arrested for Assault
At approximately 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 20, 2016 the Ramapo Police Department arrested a 25-year-old Hillcrest man on domestic violence charges. When police responded, they found a victim with swell marks and lacerations. The suspect was transported to the RPD Headquarters for processing. He was charged with criminal mischief and assault.
Man Caught Stealing at his Job
On Monday Sept. 19, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. the Ramapo Police Department received a report from the Loss Prevention Department at a local store that an employee was stealing from the business. Officers responded and investigated. After reviewing the evidence presented, a 29-year-old male employee from Thiells, New York was arrested and charged with petit larceny. He was processed and released on his own recognizance with a Village of Airmont Justice Court date.
Argument Leaves One Woman with Injuries in Pomona
On Sept. 18, 2016 the RPD received a report of an assault that occurred in the parking lot of a Route 202 business in Pomona. Officers arrived and discovered a 51-year-old female victim who was assaulted by another female with a golf club. The suspect had fled the scene and the victim was treated for minor head and hand injuries. RPD officers conducted an investigation and arrested a 50-year-old Pomona resident for second-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
DWI Arrest in Hillcrest
On Sept. 17, 2016 at approximately 3:19 a.m. officers arrested a 38-year-old Spring Valley resident for driving while intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic violations. An RPD patrol officer observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner in the Hillcrest section of Ramapo. When the vehicle was stopped the officer began his investigation, leading to the suspectโs arrest. He was held for arraignment Sunday morning. The suspect was also arrested for an outstanding bench warrant out of the Village of Spring Valley.
Drug-Related Accident in Wesley Hills
On Sept. 16, 2016, the Ramapo Police Department responded to Wilder Road in Wesley Hills for a motor vehicle accident. While investigating the accident, the officer noticed the driver was impaired. The driver was arrested and the Ramapo Police Drug Recognition Expert conducted a further investigation. The driver was processed and released after posting bail. He is due to return to the Wesley Hills Village Court next month.
