On Monday, September 19, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF hosted its fifth annual UNICEF Golf Classic at the Manhattan Woods Golf Club to raise funds for UNICEF’s programs that save and improve the lives of children around the world.

Co-chaired by Phil Birsh, Christian Simonds and Lou Switzer, the event raised over $250,000 to support UNICEF’s lifesaving work providing health care, immunizations, clean water, sanitation, nutrition, education and emergency relief to the world’s most vulnerable children.

Over 85 players and spectators, undeterred by the rain, turned out to help put children first. “UNICEF is on the ground working through all weathering conditions to save children, so we can play in the rain to support and do our part as well,” said Birsh.
