RILC PRESS RELEASE
Rockland Independent Living Center (RILC) has a long successful history of service to people with disabilities. However, RILC is often mistaken for offering housing options based on the organization’s name. Earlier this year, the Board of Directors made the decision to change the name in order to better reflect the mission of the organization.
The new identity has been a well-kept secret since its development. It will be formally revealed on Saturday, October 22. The unique Roll It Out! event will take place at the recently opened Hudson Valley Harley-Davidson showroom on Route 304 in Nanuet and will feature a partner agency expo for the general public as well as food and entertainment.
The prelude to the event will be a promotional truck “rolling” around Rockland County from October 15 – 22, calling attention to the event. The truck will make various stops around Rockland County throughout the week and individuals will be able to pick up information about the event as well as take photos to post to social media using the #RollItOutRC. The truck locations will be highlighted on the RILC Facebook page at www.facebook.com/rilcinc Flyers will be distributed at the stops that will include information on how to get a free hot dog at the event and receive 10% off select Harley-Davidson merchandise.
Major sponsors include: Hudson Valley Harley-Davidson, Cintas, Active International, Connections Contact Center, PDI/Nice-Pak, Orange & Rockland, Ducey Insurance, AllBright Electric, GMG Public Relations, GoldKap Consulting, KLS Transportation, Birbrower & Beldock, Blauvelt Lions Club, Goldstein Karlewicz & Goldstein CPAs, and Temple Beth Shalom.
