The teachers and students of the North Rockland Central School District ran a Thanksgiving Food Drive for the first few weeks of November and ran a contest to see which school building in the district could collect the most food items. Willow Grove Elementary won with a collection of 1,700 food items. Needless to say, all the schools came through and the students became involved in a worthy endeavor of creating a community service experience for all. With these contributions, The North Rockland Food Pantry was able to put together over 115 Thanksgiving dinners for North Rockland families.ย
