Inserra Supermarkets welcomes Johna Mailolli, R.D., L.D., as the retail dietitian at ShopRite of Tallman in Airmont, N.Y. In this new role, Mailolli will lead the store’s wide range of free nutrition counseling and wellness programming for customers and local community organizations. ShopRite of Tallman recently underwent a top-to-bottom renovation and celebrated its Grand Re-opening in late September.
“We are very pleased to offer expanded services at ShopRite of Tallman and encourage our customers to stop by the Dietitian’s Corner to start using Johna as a wellness resource,” said Lindsey Inserra, vice president of marketing and corporate retail health and wellness of Inserra Supermarkets. In addition to ShopRite of Tallman, the family-owned grocery store chain owns and operates ShopRites of Garnerville, New City, Stony Point and West Nyack in Rockland County and 17 ShopRites in New Jersey.
Prior to joining Inserra Supermarkets, Mailolli was a clinical dietitian with Advance Med at the Denton State Supported Living Center in Denton, TX. In this role, she completed annual nutrition assessments for individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities. Previously, she was a clinical dietitian at the Regent Care Center in Hackensack, N.J. At Regent, Mailolli worked with adults and seniors with nutrition-related conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic heart failure, obesity and dementia.
A resident of Cliffside Park, N.J., Mailolli received her Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and food science with a concentration in dietetics in January 2009 from Montclair State University, where she completed her dietetic internship in 2011.
