Lauren Bunyan Gould, of Garnerville, passed away on December 4, 2016. She was 32.
Lauren was a Varsity Cheerleading Coach at North Rockland High School and won a National Championship in Dallas, TX, numerous Section 1 and Westchester County Center Grand Championships. She was also awarded Section 1 “Coach of the Year.” Lauren was the owner of “Cheermania All-Stars” for 15 years, where her teams won multiple All-Star National Cheer Championships and awarded a bid to the World All-Star Cheer Championship.
Lauren is survived by her beloved husband of 8 years, John J. Gould Jr.; by her adored daughter Emily Lauren Gould; by her parents Stephen and Margaret (Oakley) Bunyan; by her siblings: John Croyle, Brian (Christine) Croyle and Michael (Jeannie) Bunyan; by her in-laws John and Maureen Gould; by her brothers-in-law Daniel Gould and William (Kelly) Gould; by her nieces and nephews: Kayleigh and Addison Croyle and Olivia and Liam Bunyan, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lauren is predeceased by Dorothy and Edward Oakley, Margaret and Michael Bunyan, Peggy Delaney, and Brianna Bunyan.
Lauren will be remembered by all who knew her for her passion for cheerleading, her love of L.B.I., and for everything Christmas.
Lauren’s family will receive friends at T.J. McGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 71 N. Central Highway, GARNERVILLE, on Wednesday, December 7 and Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 3-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Lauren on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 10AM at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, Garnerville, with interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Haverstraw.
