REST HOME PATIENT HAPPY THAT DEPT. OF HEALTH CLOSED SMOKING ROOM

To the Editor,

Many thanks to the Rockland County Department of Health for shutting down the smoking room here at Spring Valley Rest Home, which is located in Nanuet. Before the Health Department closed the room, smoke would escape from the smoking room to the living room, which forced second hand smoke on the home’s non-smokers. Because of the Health Department’s action the air at Spring Valley Rest Home is much cleaner, improving the quality of life for the home’s residents and staff.
