Three highly acclaimed folk music acts will appear at Nanuet Library on January, 22, beginning 1 p.m. as part of the Borderline Folk Music Club’s latest event.
WHISKEY FOXTROT: This acoustic trio blends elements of Country, Bluegrass & Americana. Dan DiPaola (Mandolin), Steve Lavner (Guitar) & Caitlin Maloney (Lead Vocals) create intimate and emotional music woven together by traditional harmonies and contemporary melodies with a nod toward classic country.
ALICE LEON: Alice Leon is an expressive singer/songwriter. She has opened or shared the stage with Bruce Springsteen, John Bon Jovi, Melissa Etheridge and many more. Her influences range from Peggy Lee and the Beatles to Carol King, Sting and Queen. She is a teaching artist working with teens and adults in recovery teaching the gifts of songwriting as a recovery tool.
PHIL DOLLARD: Phil is an acoustic blues based guitarist who has been performing at clubs and coffeehouses in the region for years. He writes original songs but also covers artists from the 1930’s through the folk/rock revival of the ‘60’s and beyond. Phil infuses his love of Piedmont finger picking and Delta slide guitar into his own blues inflected tunes.
