COURTHOUSE NEWS: Schwartz to Westchester?

According to legal insiders and www.nycourts.gov, newly-elected County Court Justice Larry Schwartz will not serve in Rockland County.

Court overseers have chosen to place Schwartz across the river in Westchester instead. Judge Rolf Thorsen, who had previously been transferred from Rockland to Westchester, apparently has been transferred back as he is listed as “acting surrogate” justice for Rockland County Court on www.nycourts.gov.

Recently elected Justice Kevin Russo is also set to serve in the Rockland Courthouse.
