Pearl River Seniors Set to Perform Elvis-inspired “All Shook Up”

Pearl River High School’s Senior Class of 2017 will be performing Joe DiPietro’s “All Shook Up,” inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley.

It’s the 1950s, and into a square little town, in a square little state, rides a guitar-playing roustabout Chad (played by Kyle Catalanotto) just released from prison. In this same dreary little town, Natalie (played by Kelly Campbell) is dreaming of love and adventure, while she yearns for one true love to take her away. What results is a hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that’ll have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.”

Over 80 Pearl River High School seniors make up the cast of All Shook Up. Other leads include: Julia O’Sullivan (Miss Sandra); Krista Marinelli (Sylvia); Jenni McLeod (Lorraine); Austin McNeill (Jim); Patrick Doyle (Dennis); Jackie Beckerle (Mayor Matilida Hyde); Connor Dillane (Sherriff Earl); Jack Hogan (Dean); and James McKiernan (the Warden).

“All Shook Up” will be performed Friday and Saturday, January 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. in the Pearl River High School auditorium. Tickets for these evening performances are $10 and are available at the door. There will also be a special free performance for Pearl River senior citizens on Thursday, January 19 at 3:30 p.m.

Pearl River High School is located at 275 East Central Avenue in Pearl River.
