The sentencing for Kelly Gribeluk, the co-conspirator who admitted involvement in a plot to kill her boyfriend’s wife, has been rescheduled for May 16, 2017.

County Court Judge David Zuckerman ordered a pre-sentence investigation to be performed by the Rockland County Department of Probation. A pre-sentence investigation is customary in most felony cases and is used by the judge to consider the appropriate sentence. However, absent some unforeseen or unanticipated circumstance, Gribeluk will likely receive the agreed upon sentence of four to 12 years in state prison.

Gribeluk was arrested along with her lover Ira Bernstein on May 3, 2016. It was alleged that the two plotted to hire a hit man to stage a car accident that would kill Bernstein’s estranged wife.

The two also conspired to have insurance investigators looking into Bernstein’s podiatry practice’s billing system beaten up and intimidated. Gribeluk ultimately pled guilty on September 28, 2016 and has been free on bail awaiting her sentence. Bernstein is also scheduled to be sentenced on the same date.

Following her sentencing in May, Gribeluk will likely be sent to Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in Westchester County to serve her time.
