Christopher Smith, an experienced marketing professional and former political candidate, will become the next associate publisher of the Rockland County Times. The position has remained vacant since former associate publisher Dylan Skriloff purchased the newspaper and became owner and publisher.

Smith is currently employed by Verizon Wireless, where he is ranked in the top 10 countrywide for consumer sales. He has worked within many levels of government from NY State Assembly to the Rockland County Legislature, been nominated for the positions of receiver of taxes and councilman in the Town of Orangetown and operated a Pearl River-based marketing and PR firm called BlueStreak Strategies.

Smith resides in Pearl River with his wife Ilisa Willenbrink, who is a teacher at Clarkstown South High School.

Rockland County Times Publisher Dylan Skriloff said, “Mr. Smith is a key addition to our team as the newspaper continues to grow. He adds business experience and broadens our network for political and local news coverage.”

The Rockland County Times has been published weekly since 1888. The paper’s website www.rocklandtimes.com is updated daily.
