Christopher Perez, 24, of Main Street in Haverstraw, was arrested by Haverstraw PD on April 5, 2017.
Perez allegedly broke into a residence on Westside Ave. in the Village of Haverstraw on March 28 and assaulted a male subject inside the residence. Perez was charged with burglary of a dwelling causing injury, a felony, and assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor.
He was held on bail, to appear in the Village of Haverstraw court later this month.
