Suspicious Person in Blauvelt
The Orangetown Police are investigating a report of a suspicious white male on Swannekin Road in Blauvelt.
The man was observed to be walking in the wooded area east of Swannekin Road on April 12 around 5:45 pm. When the man was asked what he doing, he fled. He was described as 6 ft tall, 170 lbs, black hair, in his 20s and was wearing a baseball hat and an Eli Manning New York Giants football jersey. Anyone with information is asked to call the Police Department at (845) 359-3700.

Larceny Fugitive in Clarkstown
Ashley Marie Devries is wanted by the Clarkstown Police for Larceny and Possession of Stolen Property. She is a 28 year-old white woman who stands 5โ10 with brown hair and brown eyes. Her last known address was in Stony Point. Anyone with information is asked to call the Clarkstown Police at (845) 639-5880.

Car Crash Leads to DWI Arrest
On April 13, Ramapo Police responded to the intersection of East Eckerson Road and Rockland Lane on a report of a motor vehicle crash. The driver of one of the vehicles, a 26 year-old male from Pomona was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
Upon arrival, officers found two vehicles, a 2007 Toyota Camry and a 2016 Nissan Frontier. Both drivers and a passenger were treated for various injuries and transported to the hospital. The driver of the Frontier was the one intoxicated and was also issued a summons for running a red light. He will appear in court to answer the charges.
Reckless Driving Arrest in Mahwah
In the afternoon of April 13, the Ramapo Police arrested a 24 year-old male from Sloatsburg for various Vehicle and Traffic violations, including Reckless Driving, Driving Without an Interlock Device, Operating Under a Suspended License and Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer.
The police observed the vehicle on Route 17 operating at very high speeds, tailgating other cars and weaving in and out of traffic. As the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver sped up, attempting to elude the officer. The driver was eventually stopped in Mahwah with the help of the Mahwah Police.
The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for an unrelated medical condition and then placed under arrest. He is due back in court in May.
CPSP Fugitive in Ramapo
Sarah Miller, age 37, is wanted by the Ramapo Police for Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th degree. The charges stem from an incident that occurred in Monsey in October of 2012. Miller is 5โ3 and weighed about 140 lbs at the time of the incident. Anyone with information is asked to notify the Ramapo Police.
Robbery/ Assault Arrest in Monsey
On April 14, the Ramapo Police arrested a 30 year-old male from Spring Valley for Attempted Robbery, Assault, Criminal Trespass and Driving While Intoxicated.
The suspect, allegedly, entered a 78 year-old womanโs backyard in Monsey and grabbed her around the head and neck area. The victimโs screams alerted two community watch members who intervened. The suspect fled but was stopped by the Ramapo Police.
The suspect was taken into custody and the victim was treated with minor injuries.
Assault in Hillcrest
Ramapo Police responded to report on a domestic dispute in Hillcrest on April 14. The police arrested the 30 year-old boyfriend for assault in the 2nd degree, Menacing in the 2nd, Obstruction of Breathing, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th and Harassment in the 2nd.
Upon arrival, officers were met outside by the female victim, bleeding from several small lacerations on her arm. She reported that her boyfriend had stabbed her. Investigation done by the police found the weapon and arrested the boyfriend. He is currently being held pending arraignment.
Georgia Man Arrested with Crystal Meth
Ramapo Police arrested a 35 year-old man from Cartersville, Georgia Monday night for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument.
The Ramapo police were investigating a suspicious occupied car in a hotel parking lot. When the officers walked up to the car, the observed a female under a blanket and a male with an open liquor bottle. The male passenger admitted to having methadone and a crystal meth pipe in the vehicle. Officers searched the car further and found the crystal meth pipe, a bag of crystal meth, a bag of amphetamine and 9 needles. The female was not charged with anything.
Petit Larceny Arrest in Airmont
On Tuesday night, the Ramapo Police arrested a 23 year-old woman from Chestnut Ridge for Petit Larceny and Resisting Arrest.
Ramapo Police responded to a gas station in Airmont on a dispute between two parties and a clerk. It was reported that before the suspect left, she removed money from the tip jar. She was staying at a nearby hotel and when officers came to arrest her. She pulled away from them, forcing the officers to use physical force.
She was transported to the stationhouse for processing and will appear in court early next month to answer the charges.
False 9-1-1 Call Leads to Arrest
The Ramapo Police received a call Wednesday morning reporting a serious motor vehicle accident on Washington Ave off of Route 45. When officers arrived, there was no accident in the area, so it was determined that it was a malicious false report.
The officers traced the call and found the suspect who was holding a beer bottle in his hand. When the police attempted to arrest the suspect, he became physically aggressive. The officers had to use a Taser to control the situation.
The suspect was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation and was charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct.
Suffern
Airmont Man Arrested for DWI
The Suffern Police arrested a 53 year-old Airmont man for Driving While Intoxicated on Sunday night.
The police received a report of a vehicle operating erratically on Route 59. Responding officers stopped the driver on Hillcrest Road. Investigation determined that the driver was intoxicated. He was sent to headquarters where he refused a breathalyzer test. He was released on bail and is pending a future court date.
