Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway held its annual Kentucky Derby Day Party on Saturday, featuring celebrity guest hosts Kim Zolciak Biermann of Real Housewifes and Ashley Iaconetti and Olivia Caridi of The Bachelor.
The lively and fashionable trio posed for photos with fans before taking their seats as judges for the casino’s annual Derby Hat Contest. Party guests enjoyed outdoor eats, drinks and music as they waited for the race to kick-off.
Harness racing driver, Jason Bartlett, joined the ladies to kick off the race. Former hosts of the annual event have included supermodel Hannah Davis Jeter and New York powerhouse Bethenny Frankel.
Always Dreaming won the Derby, the first of three races considered the horse racing “triple crown,” with relative ease. The next leg of the horse racing triple crown is the Preakness, held at Pimlico in Maryland. The third and final leg is the Belmont Stakes in Long Island.
In 2015, American Pharaoh won the first triple crown since 1978. Always Dreaming now takes his shot at glory.
