Workshops scheduled May 15, June 22 at RCC
SUEZ Water New York has scheduled workshops on May 15 and June 22 on its proposed programs to provide financial assistance and other incentives for qualified Rockland customers. The public is invited to attend and provide input and feedback on the draft plans.
Earlier this year, as part of the rate case settlement, the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) directed the company to study the feasibility of developing programs to assist low-income customers. As part of this process, SUEZ has scheduled workshops to solicit input from the community.
Company officials will present a proposed low-income discount program as well as a low-income rebate program at the meetings scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Technology Center on the campus of Rockland Community College in Suffern.
“We encourage interested stakeholders to attend and provide feedback on these proposals,” said Chris Graziano, Vice President of SUEZ. “Their ideas can help shape these customer assistance initiatives.”
A draft overview of the proposal is available by calling 845.620.3353 or by accessing it online at https://tinyurl.com/suezworkshop
SUEZ plans to submit its proposed programs to the PSC for review and approval in July.
