It figures to be a hectic Stony Point Planning Board meeting Thursday, June 22, 7 p.m. at the RHO Building.
New Planet Sustainable Fuels will be making a presentation on their Holt Dr. site plan and a new application will be presented for the waterfront development project, now named “Eagle Bay” and headed by developer Eli Herskowitz.
Longtime Stony Point fixture Wayne Corts confirmed the sale of Stony Point Marina to Herskowitz in last week’s Rockland County Times. Corts had owned the marina for over 35 years and for the past five years or so had been working on a waterfront condominium, retail, restaurant and promenade project he called “The Breakers.”
Herskowitz now picks up where Corts left off, with the Stony Point community anxious to learn exactly what plans he has in store.
Also on the agenda for next week’s Planning Board meeting is a presentation on a proposed electric sign for Wayne Hose Fire Station on Rt. 9W & Summit Ave and a site plan for 9 Holt Dr., a lot 588 feet east of Rt. 9W.
