KOLESAR’S EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT ANNOUNCED AT HAVERSTRAW BOARD MEETING

Andrew Kolesar, a freshman at North Rockland High School and a member of Boy Scout Troop 61, announced at this week’s Town of Haverstraw Board meeting that his Eagle Scout project will see the installation of flag receptacles at the Haverstraw Town Hall, Town of Haverstraw Police Department and at Bowline Point Park. The purpose of these receptacles is to give his fellow citizens a place to drop off any old and/or damaged flags so that they can be properly retired.

Andrew currently holds the rank of Life Scout and is working towards becoming an Eagle Scout. The receptacle from his presentation is now in the lobby of Town Hall at One Rosman Road, Garnerville. The other receptacles will be placed at the Haverstraw Police Department and at Bowline Point Park.
