LOCAL ENTREPRENEUR OPENS FIRST FIREHOUSE SUBS LOCATION AT PALISADES CENTER MALL IN WEST NYACK

Firehouse Subs announced the grand opening of its newest location at 4364 Palisades Center Dr. in the Palisades Center Mall on Monday, June 19, under the ownership of local business entrepreneur, Tejash Patel.

Firehouse Subs, which was recently named No. 1 Overall Brand by Technomic’s Chain Restaurant Consumers’ Choice Awards, serves premium meats and cheeses steamed hot and piled high on a toasted sub roll, which is served “fully involved” with fresh produce and condiments. This is the seventh New York location for the fast casual restaurant chain.

Founded by former firefighting brothers, the new West Nyack restaurant décor reflects the founding family’s decades of fire and police service. It boasts a custom, hand-painted mural that depicts the West Nyack Fire Department and fire engine with an extended ladder flying the American flag, alongside an American Bald Eagle soaring all in front of the Palisades Center Mall. Pictured in the background, the infamous Tappan Zee Bridge. Local firefighter memorabilia is also displayed.

This is the first restaurant for Patel, who signed a multi-unit franchise agreement to develop five restaurants in Rockland County, New York and Bergen County, New Jersey. “I chose to join the Firehouse Subs family because I realized how truly unique their restaurants are, and wanted to bring this hearty and flavorful food to the New York area,” said Patel. “The steamed-to-perfection subs separate us from the rest, and the brand’s dedication to public service allows guests to enjoy an amazing product, while giving back to the community. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect brand to invest in and continue to grow with.”

Patel looks forward to continuing Firehouse Subs’ commitment to helping public safety organizations through Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which has donated more than $271,000 in grants in the state of New York.

The West Nyack Firehouse Subs restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
