NEW LOGO FOR ARC OF ROCKLAND

ARC of Rockland has unveiled a new logo, which leaders describe as a “fresh, new look.”

“The yellow and orange swish above the word Arc indicates forward motion and optimism,” CEO Carmine Marchionda said. “The design reflects our mission to provide the resources that enable people with developmental disabilities to participate fully in the community throughout their lives.”

Mr. Marchionda notes that the rebranding of the agency’s logo aligns with other chapters affiliated with the New York State ARC and the ARC of the United States “When agencies under the Arc umbrella join together to make ourselves heard in Albany and Washington, our combined voices speak volumes. We believe the same holds true for a visual image representative of many individuals, families. As we see it, the updated Arc logo symbolizes the commitment to a bright future for people of all abilities.”

ARC of Rockland provides services and supports to 1,200 children, men and women with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Offerings include a preschool, an Upper School for children with autism spectrum disorders, employment and volunteer opportunities, housing options, recreational programs for people of all ages, and a medical practice.  Arc also owns and operates two businesses: Strawtown Jewelry in New City and Glaze Pottery & Art Studio in Orangeburg.  Both entities employ people with developmental disabilities.
