It was a beautiful evening at Fieldstone Elementary School this past Tuesday as the Balbach School of Dance performed The Little Match Girl and other works as part of its annual gala recital featuring many students at the school. Alyssa Lombardo as the Little Match Girl was superb in the role backed up by 50 of Rebecca Balbach’s students who have been rehearsing and training at Balbach’s studio in the Garnerville Methodist Church. Various works included Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadere, Fuente de Sabiduria and Carmen. The ballet dancing, the classical music and the very professional presentation is a credit to the community and the hundreds who attended and responded enthusiastically to a great performance.
