Ramapo PD reported early Friday afternoon that approximately 200 protesters gathered to voice their displeasure at the sale of smart phones at Ping Verizon 59 on Route 59 in Monsey. ย Police said the protest was reportedlyย due to religious beliefs against smart phone use.
Policeย saidย that at 1:30 p.m. the protesters peacefully dispersed. There were no incidents reported at the protest.
