Upcoming at the Garner Arts Center in Garnerville, August 17, from 7-9 p.m., Samuel Johnson at Creekside, live music in their Creekside Sculpture Trail. Johnson will be on Creekside guitar. “Pitch Thursdays” at Industrial Arts Brewing, September 12, with music starting at 6:30 p.m. Opening of Drawing Into Architecture, works by Joe Fusaro and music by guitarist Eric DeVito. In October, head to the Autumn Electronics Festival with Annihilvs Power Electronics in a selection of seven live acts into electronic music. Special guests include Floor, Funktion and Pope Joan II, and Eric Bartow as DJ Le Bourreau. There’s also Worlds Within Shadows, an exhibition of visual art created by Gretchen Heinel of Nyack. And on November 4, there will be an honoring of West Haverstraw Mayor Robert D’Amelio and the Village Board of Trustees, plus a launching of the final phase of the Building 35 Capital Campaign. ArtsRock begins its 2017-2018 season October 7 at 8 p.m. with Great Women of Song doing Ella, Janis, Adele and more with Alice Lon, Lorena Mann, Shirley Crabbe and Korliss Uecker. A portion of the proceeds to support the Center For Safety and Change.

On Sunday, October 15 at 2 p.m., come see One Year and Counting, a conversation one year after the election with John Hockenberry of National Public Radio and Gloria Feldt, founder of Take The Lead and former president of Planned Parenthood. The event is hosted by Elliott Forrest of NY Public Radio. On Friday, October 27 at 8 p.m., come see “Nosferatu”, the classic film, with live music presented by ArtsRock, Rivertown Film and Arts Angels.
