SPRING VALLEY PREDATORY RAPIST SENTENCED TO 14 YEARS IN PRISON

DA’S PRESS RELEASE
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe this week announced that 34-year-old Eduardo Najera of Spring Valley was sentenced to 14 years in state prison and 20 years post-release supervision on his March 6, 2017 guilty plea to one count of rape in the first degree, a class “B” felony in connection with the repeated rape of an eight-year-old girl. District Attorney Zugibe said, “Today’s sentence is a measure of justice for the young victim in this case who endured a traumatic ordeal at the hands of the defendant.”
Over a three-month period between June 1, 2015 and August 28, 2015, Najera engaged in two acts of forcible sexual intercourse with the victim in his residence. Executive Assistant District Attorney Stephen Moore prosecuted the case.
