ANIMAL WELFARE GROUP IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS FOR ITS NANUET LOCATION

Do you love animals?  Would you like to donate time to help homeless animals as they await adoption into forever homes? Save The Animals Rescue Team II (START II), a non-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer animal rescue group based in Englewood, NJ is currently seeking adult volunteers for its Nanuet PetSmart adoption location. Volunteers are needed to help clean cages and socialize cats one day a week for about two hours, as well as anyone who might be able to foster cats.

S.T.A.R.T. II has made many strides in its communities along with saving thousands of lives in the last 41 and a half years. The group is highly dedicated to the welfare and placement of homeless animals and gives these beautiful animals a second chance at life. Save The Animals Rescue Team II is the  bridge between life and death. The group traps locally and pulls animals from local high kill shelters who would otherwise be euthanized. Our furry guests are given vet care if needed, spayed/neutered and brought up to date on their shots. Once in the shelter, our dedicated volunteers work closely with the animals in our care to socialize them and get them ready for adoption into permanent homes. These volunteers are the voices behind every furry face you view in our adoption centers.

START II relies solely on its fundraising, donations and adoptions in order to continue its mission of saving lives and running every day shelter operations. Save The Animals Rescue Team II can never turn its back on an animal in need.  This all takes time, work and money. With the number of animals the non-profit group cares for, supplies are used up very fast. The group is always in great need of product donations such as cat beds, scratching posts, cat toys, paper towels, bleach, blankets, cages and crates of all sizes etc. and most of all monetary donations.

The mission of this no-kill facility is simple: Dedication to the welfare, sheltering and placement of homeless animals. Volunteers are committed to educating the public on the humane treatment of animals, animal cruelty, and overpopulation and promoting importance of spay/neuter and low cost options including preventative care.
