Your weekly forecast by Zachary Jacomowitz
Hello, Rockland County! Before I begin, I’d like to express thoughts and prayers for those affected by Hurricane Irma last weekend. Just like the aftermath of Harvey, our country as a whole will come out even better and stronger following this horrible natural disaster. Also, I’d like to wish those who will be celebrating a Happy, Sweet, and Blessed Rosh Hashanah!
Very warm conditions will prevail for the next week, but other than the threat for summer-time thunderstorms during the afternoon, we should remain quiet. Hurricane Jose looks to stay offshore, but may cause increased rip-currents at the beach for the next several days.
