COLLECTION OF GOODS FOR PUERTO RICO

The supervisor of the Town of Haverstraw and the mayors of the Village of Haverstraw and West Haverstraw were approached by several Hispanic elected officials and organizations such as the Harold B. Holt Manny Lopez Post 46 American Legion, the Rockland County Police Hispanic Society and the Hispanic Lions Club of Haverstraw for a relief effort to collect non-perishable goods for Puerto Rico.

Non-perishable goods can be dropped off at the Town of Haverstraw and Villages of Haverstraw and West Haverstraw municipal buildings during regular business hours.

Haverstraw Town Hall – 1 Rosman Road, Garnerville

(Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

Haverstraw Village Hall – 40 New Main St., Haverstraw

(Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

West Haverstraw Village Hall – 130 Samsondale Ave., West Haverstraw

(Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)

Organizers are asking the public to please only donate the following non-perishable goods at this time:

• AM/FM BATTERY OPERATED PORTABLE RADIOS
• BABY FORMULA (IN CASES, NOT INDIVIDUAL CANS)
• BATTERIES (NO LITHIUM BATTERIES)
• BLANKETS/SHEETS
• CASES OF WATER
• CAMPING LANTERNS (BATTERY OPERATED)
• DIAPERS (CHILDREN & ADULT)
• FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCTS (SANITARY NAPKINS/TAMPONS)
• FLASHLIGHTS
• PERSONAL FIRST AID KITS
• TARPS
• WIPES
