Gordon Ramsay puts Congers restaurant through “hellish” 24-hour boot camp

British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was in Congers Sunday, November 5 and Monday, November 6 for the filming of an episode of his new Fox show “24 Hours to Hell and Back.” Ramsay brought his culinary expertise as well as his wry wit and painfully honest critiquing skills to Bella Gianna’s on Rt. 303.

Ramsay’s new show, similar to his original prime time show “Kitchen Nightmares,” offers a crash course in success for restaurateurs seeking greener pastures. Ramsay’s “24 Hours to Hell and Back” offers a twist on the concept: Hell on Wheels – “a 70-foot-long semi-truck that unfolds into a state-of-the-art, completely self-sustaining mobile kitchen, where he’ll re-invent the struggling restaurant’s menu, and whip the staff into shape.”

Ramsay stormed Bella Gianna’s dining room Sunday afternoon, November 5. His aim: remold and remake Bella Gianna’s in 24 hours or less.
