The Rockland Boulders released their official 2018 schedule this week. Their 102-game slate in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball (Can-Am League) includes 54 games to be played at the beautiful Palisades Credit Union Park, which the Boulders have called home since the teamโs inception in 2011.
Season eight of Boulders Baseball officially gets underway on Thursday, May 17, 2018, when Rocklandโs team hosts the Sussex County Miners for a 6:30 p.m. start. In addition to their Opening Day opponent, the Boulders will face Can-Am rivals such as the New Jersey Jackals, Quebec Capitales, Ottawa Champions, and Trois-Rivieres Aigles.
Also of note, the Can-Am International Baseball Showcase will return with Rockland hosting series the weekends of June 15-17, and 22-24. While this seasonโs opponents have yet to be determined, past visitors included the Shikoku Island (Japan) All-Stars, as well as national teams from Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
All night games from Monday through Saturday this season will start at 6:30 p.m., with school day contests beginning at 10:30 a.m. and camp Days at 11 a.m. Sunday games are scheduled for 1:35 p.m. through July 1, after which they will start at 5 p.m.
