Rockland Development Council [RDC] celebrated the “Spirit of Giving” at its 18th annual Philanthropy Day Breakfast on Thursday, November 9 at the Crowne Plaza, Suffern. With over 275 attendees, the event is the largest annual gathering of non-profit agencies and philanthropists in the county, organizers said. “The whole event was really well done and well worth attending,” said Doug Brown, Paradigm Associates.

Highlights of the program included the 2017 Philanthropy Day Awards ceremony and the keynote presentation by retired Journal News editor Bob Baird about his founding of Touching Bases Baseball, a non-profit agency that provides over 200 adults with special needs opportunities to play baseball.
