REPORT: Woman starts ruccus in Stony Point restaurant, takes wrath out on cop who tried to play peacemaker

Saira Vargas age 48, of River Road, Grassy Point (Town of Stony Point) has been charged with disorderly conduct, a violation and resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor.

Stony Point PD say this Wednesday, December 6 they officers responded to a report of a disorderly patron at a restaurant on 9W. They found Ms. Vargas in a state of tumult and during an interview she allegedly became violent toward the officers outside the restaurant, police said.

Police attempted to control Vargas’ outburst but she kept fighting and eventually struck one officer in the face according to police reports. She was processed at the Stony Point Police headquarters and left on her own recognizance with a court date in town court set for January 3, 2018 at 9 a.m.
