THE STUDENT EXHIBITION @ ROCKLAND CENTER FOR THE ARTS

Rockland Center for the Arts celebrates the vision of Creativity in a Studentsโ€™ Exhibition, January 14ย – , January 28, 2018 with an opening reception Saturday, January 20 from 2-5 p.m.ย  Artwork will include pottery, glass beads, drawing, painting and sculpture from the students of RoCA.

Earlyย founders, Rockland residents and patrons โ€“ Helen Hayes, Henry Varnum Poor, Aaron Copland, Paulette Goddard and Burgess Meredith, wanted to provide a meeting ground for county artists and residents eager to enjoy their work and learn from their skills.ย ย Their goal was to present high quality arts that reflect the cultural diversity of the community; education in the fine and applied arts through itโ€™s School for the Arts under teachers of a caliber seldom available outside of New York City.โ€

This month you have the opportunity to see the inspiration of these students from their teachers as well as the amazing emerging and steady talent in RoCA and our county.ย ย The Center has educated and nurtured generations of artists, from world-class professionals to emerging talents.
