Rockland County High School’s preparing for a great season of shows including “Bye Bye Birdie” at Nanuet High School on March 9 and 10; “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying” at Clarkstown North on March 9, 10, 16 and 17; “The Pajama Game” at North Rockland High School on March 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17; “Seussical” at Spring Valley High School on March 15,16 and 17; “Smile” at Nyack High School on March 16, 17, 23 and 24; “The Drowsy Chaperone” at Tappan Zee High School on March 16, 17 and 18; “Chess” at Suffern High School on March 19 (concert) and March 22, 23 and 24; “Anything Goes” at Clarkstown South High School on March 23, 24 and 25; “Fame” at Ramapo High School on March 23, 24 and 25; “Little Shop of Horrors” at Albertus Magnus High School on March 23, 24 and 25;”Curtains” at Pearl River High School on April 19, 20 and 21; and “Once Upon a Mattress” at Rockland Country Day School on April 20, 21 and 22.

Rockland County Volunteer Firemen’s parade and convention with many marching bands and firefighters set with the convention September 7 and the parade September 8.

Mardi Gras in Nyack, produced by ArtsRock, to be held Saturday, February 10 at 8 p.m. in the Nyack Center. Many prominent musicians will be bringing the New Orleans musical experience to Nyack on the Hudson. Steven Bernstein of Nyack, said to be one of the greatest trumpet players in America, will be in attendance. The vent promises great music, food and fun.
