Rhonda VanAntwerp was recently appointed as the new assistant director of corporate and foundation relations at St. Thomas Aquinas College, announced Karen Wright, vice president for institutional advancement at the college. As assistant director of corporate and foundation relations, VanAntwerp is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of private foundations and corporate grants and gifts.
VanAntwerp, of Mahwah, NJ, previously held the position of development and events manager for The Land Conservancy of New Jersey, where she coordinated signature events and introduced new online revenue streams to diversify funding and increase the organizationโs donor base. She has worked with local affiliates of well-known, international youth development organizations, including Junior Achievement and Girl Scouts. Her fundraising, communication, and strategy counsel have increased efficiency and philanthropic support for entities including United Way of Passaic County, The New Jersey Naval Museum, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, and Educating Every Child.
โAs an experienced nonprofit professional, Rhonda brings new ideas and a unique set of skills to St. Thomas Aquinas College, which will no doubt help STAC continue to develop and succeed,โ said Wright. โWe are thrilled to have her on the institutional advancement team.โ
VanAntwerp earned her B.F.A. with honors, from University of Illinois at Chicago and her M.A. in Administration and Supervision (educator/trainer concentration) from Montclair State University (NJ).
