On April 25, 2018, Palisades Center welcomes the Center for Safety & Change for a Denim Day event. The evening program will include three dance numbers as well as speeches. “Denim Day” has become a symbol of protest against erroneous and destructive attitudes about sexual assault based on a trial overturned in the 1990s and is celebrated during the month of April, also known as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Attendees are invited to wear teal and denim to support the cause.
“We are happy to partner with Center for Safety & Change to help raise awareness of Denim Day.” says Rachel Chester, Director of Marketing for Palisades Center, “We encourage everyone to come out and participate in the performances.”
Those interested in participating must register by visiting https://denimday18.eventbrite.com. For more information, please contact Shar Adrias and Traci McLee at movementsbyshar@aol.com or by calling 845-634-3391.
