Two Year Old Child Drowns in Nanuet

A Nanuet family has suffered a terrible tragedy. On Sunday night,  the Clarkstown Police Department responded to a local residence within the hamlet after receiving reports of a drowning incident  involving a 2-year-old child.
Arriving officers entered the rear yard of the residence, where they observed family members had removed the unresponsive child from the pool and began performing CPR. Officers resumed lifesaving measures with the aid of an AED as Rockland Paramedics and Nanuet Ambulance arrived at the  scene. The child was transported to Montefiore – Nyack Hospital by Nanuet Ambulance, where he was later pronounced deceased. The Clarkstown Police Detective Bureau  is continuing to investigate how this terrible  incident occurred.
