Ramapo Police: Central Nyack Man Intentionally Hit Person with Car

A 48-year-old Central Nyack resident was arrested and charged with attempted murder Thursday after Ramapo Police say he intentionally struck another man with his car.

On Thursday afternoon, police received a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in Hillcrest. The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Westchester Medical Center, police said.

Following an investigation, police determined Edward Grigsby hit the man on purpose. He was arraigned in Town of Ramapo Court and charged with attempted murder in the second degree. His bail was set at $75,000, police said.

Ramapo Police were assisted in its investigation by Rockland County Sheriffโ€™s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
