Stony Point teen killed in Snowplow accident

The Stony Point Police department announced on Thursday that a 14-year- old died after he appeared to have been operating a motorbike southbound at the intersection of North Liberty Drive and Wayne Avenue when he collided with a privately owned plow truck on Tuesday.

At 2:48 p.m., police received a call advising that police and EMS were needed at North Liberty Drive and Wayne Avenue for an accident involving a juvenile on a motorbike and a plow truck.

Stony Point Police responded to the scene, along with Medics and Stony Point Ambulance. The boy was treated at the scene by Rockland Paramedics and Stony Point Ambulance Corp, and then transported to Westchester Medical Center, where he died the next day from his injuries. The operator of the truck remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to police.
