Montefiore Nyack Hospital Offers Inclusive Screening Day for LGBTQ+ Individuals Seeking a Mammogram

The best defense against breast cancer is early detection. The earlier breast cancer is found, the easier it is to treat. Members of the LGBTQ+ community often delay seeking preventive care. On Friday, April 5, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., The Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital will offer screening mammograms for LGBTQ+ individuals.   

To register for an appointment for a screening mammogram, a physician’s referral is required. To obtain a referral for a screening mammogram, contact The Jacobs Family Pride Wellness Center at 845-348-7284. If uninsured, please call 845-348-8511 to see if you qualify for coverage of a screening mammogram through the New York State Cancer Services Program. Spanish-speaking assistance is available.
