Police from the Closter, NJ police department chased a vehicle occupied by burglary suspects into New York on Saturday night around 9:00 p.m.ย The chase ended violently and one of the occupants of the BMW being chased was rushed to Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries. Other passengers fled the scene on foot.
The roadway was closed Saturday night into early Sunday morning while Orangetown police and the Closter, NJ police conducted a joint accident investigation into the wreck.
Police have not indicated if the suspects who fled on foot have been apprehended.
