9/11 Observances across Rockland

On September 11 2024, Rockland will commemorate the twenty third anniversary of the World Trade Center attack with multiple ceramonies throughout the county. The RCT has orginzied a list of these observances, as the community prepares to honor and mourn those who were lost on that tragic day.

The Town of Stony Point will hold a 9/11 candlelight memorial service at Stony Point Town Hall on Wednesday, September 11th at 7 p.m

County Executive Ed Day, County Officials, family members, clergy, first responders and community members will  mark the 23rd anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. Those planning to attend should arrive by 8:15 a.m.

Rockland Community College will hold a September 11th Memorial Event in the Quad from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

The Town of Clarkstown will hold a 9/11 Memorial Ceremony from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Clarkstown Town Hall. 

10 Maple Ave, New City, NY 10956

The Village of Suffern will hold a 9/11 Candlelight Commemoration at 6:30 p.m. outside Suffern Village Hall. Come together as a community to continue to Always Remember. There will be a BBQ following, across the street at Avon Park.
