Tractor trailer rolls over in Nanuet

At 5 am Tuesday morning, Nanuet EMS and Rockland Paramedic Services Medic 5 were dispatched to the NYS Thruway southbound in the area of Exit 14 for a tractor trailer rollover with reported entrapment. Thankfully, the driver of the vehicle was able to self extricate prior to EMS and FD arrival and was transported to Nyack Hospital with minor injuries. The accident caused a diesel fuel spill and oil spill in the left lane and shoulder, and a wide spread, sustained headache for commuters. 

EMS units 22B1, 22C3, Medic 5, the Nanuet Fire Department, the West-Nyack Fire-Department, the  Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services HazMat Team, the Rockland County Technical Rescue Team, New York State Police, and BIG TOWS INC, all responded to the crash and provided assistance.
